| Each week we produce a feedback report to explain how we have let our homes |
Nottingham HomeLink gives applicants like you more choice in finding a home to rent in Nottingham. If you are registered with the Council or partner housing associations you are asked to place a 'bid' for each property you are interested in. This 'bid' tells us that you would like to be considered for that property. The property will then be offered to the 'bidder' with the highest priority according to the allocations policy.
Empty properties from Nottingham City Homes and partner housing associations will be advertised in various ways and there are a number of different ways that you can bid for properties.
Bidding for a property
You can make up to 3 bids every week.Make sure that you check 'Who can apply' to ensure that you meet the criteria for the property. Also, try to bid for properties advertised in your band as this will improve your chances of getting a property.
Rent Arrears
Applicants with rent arrears will not normally be considered for re-housing until the arrears are cleared. However, every case will be considered on its merits if there are exceptional circumstances.
Take a look at our 'Quick Guide to HomeLink' factsheet.
Weekly feedback is given about how each property has been allocated. We also have a section called 'Waiting times' which will give you a better idea of how quickly you are likely to receive an offer, and the areas in which your bids are most likely to be successful.
