Waiting times

you may qualify for a sheltered bunalow

Although together we manage around 40,000 properties across Nottingham, only a small number are available at any one time.

Our waiting time guides give you a rough idea of how long you may have to wait before you get a property. Waiting time depends on what band you're in, how long you have been on the housing register and what area you are looking at.

The guides show how long other people have had to wait for a property. You may have longer to wait if you need family accommodation, or want to move to a more popular area of the city.

For example: If, like most people, you are in band four, then the average wait time for a one bed flat in St Ann's is around 71 weeks. But it's around 124 weeks for a one bed flat in the Aspley and Strelley area. (Note: The information in this section is taken from properties let between September 2009 and February 2010).

Making sense of waiting time guides

  • Items in the table marked with an asterisk (*) show waiting time from June 2006 to August 2009. This is the last time properties of this type were let and no allocations have been made since.
  • If no figures are shown in a box in a table, this means that no properties have been let of this type since HomeLink began in June 2006.
  • The term 'lets' means the number of properties let in this period.
  • The term 'waiting time' is in weeks and means the average amount of time applicants have waited to be allocated a property in that band.
  • The term 'parlour house' means one with two living rooms
