Waiting times

you may qualify for a sheltered bunalow

Although together we manage around 40,000 properties across Nottingham, only a small number are available at any one time.

Our waiting time guidesv give you a rough idea of how long you may have to wait before you get a property. Waiting time depends on what band you're in, how long you have been on the housing register and what area you are looking at.

The guides show how long other people have had to wait for a property. You may have longer to wait if you need family accommodation, or want to move to a more popular area of the city.

For example: If, like most people, you are in band four, then the average wait time for a one bed flat in St Ann's Valley is around 102 weeks. But it's around 175 weeks for a one bed flat in the Clifton area. (Note: The information in this section is taken from properties let between and Januaary and June 2012).

Making sense of waiting time guides

  • A line (-) in a box means no lets or no properties. The term 'lets' means the number of properties let in this period.
  • The term 'waiting time' is in weeks and means the average amount of time applicants have waited to be allocated a property in that band.
  • The term 'parlour house' means one with two living rooms
