Register
Before you starting looking for a new home with us, you have to join our housing register. This means you need to fill out an application form.
How do I get an application form?
You can get an application form from:
- A Nottingham City Homes housing office or the Customer Contact Centre at the Central Library, Nottingham, NG1 6HP
- A housing association office
- By calling the HomeLink Team on 0115 915 7167
- By downloading it from this website, printing it off and filling it in. You then need to send it to the HomeLink Team .
Can I get some help to fill out my application form?
We can answer your questions about filling out the form, or any other aspect of Nottingham HomeLink. Just contact us using one of the methods described above and we'll do our best to help.
Don't worry if your first language is not English or if you find some parts a bit difficult to understand - just let us know and we'll make sure you get the support you need.
What happens after I've completed the form?
We'll enter your details into the housing register. We'll then send you a registration pack including:
- A registration letter confirming your HomeLink reference number and details of the 'band' we have put you in. (Keep this safe - you can't bid without it)
- A guide to Nottingham HomeLink and how to bid
- The Housing Allocations Policy summary booklet
- Waiting time guidance
I've got rent arrears - can I bid?
Generally, if you have rent arrears we will not normally offer you a property even if you qualify for it. If you need to move because of exceptional circumstances, you will need to contact your landlord to discuss these. Each partner landlord has their own procedure for assessing exceptional circumstances and arrears.

Then you're good to go! You will need your reference number to bid for a property, so make sure you have it to hand.
