What type of property can I rent?

Apart from houses we also have flats and bungalows to rent

We have homes of varying sizes across the city. What you can bid for depends on the band you are in and your own particular circumstances. We have:

  • 1 and 2 bedroomed flats
  • 2, 3 and 4 bedroomed houses (and very few larger ones)
  • 1 and 2 bedroomed bungalows
  • 1 and 2 bedroomed flats and bungalows especially for older people

You will be wasting your bids if you try to bid for a property that does not match your needs (for example, if you only qualify for a one bedroomed flat, you will waste your bid by applying for a 3 bedroomed house in most circumstances).

If you see the term 'parlour house' in the advertisement, this means a house with 2 living rooms. One of these can be used as a bedroom.

To increase your chances of making a sucessful bid, looking in a wider area will give you more opportunity to find a home that's right for you.
