What type of property can I rent?
We have homes of varying sizes across the city. What you can bid for depends on the band you are in and your own particular circumstances. We have:
- 1 and 2 bedroomed flats
- 2, 3 and 4 bedroomed houses (and very few larger ones)
- 1 and 2 bedroomed bungalows
- 1 and 2 bedroomed flats and bungalows especially for older people
You will be wasting your bids if you try to bid for a property that does not match your needs (for example, if you only qualify for a one bedroomed flat, you will waste your bid by applying for a 3 bedroomed house in most circumstances).
If you see the term 'parlour house' in the advertisement, this means a house with 2 living rooms. One of these can be used as a bedroom.
To increase your chances of making a sucessful bid, looking in a wider area will give you more opportunity to find a home that's right for you.
