Allocations policiesNottingham City Council introduced its allocation policy in 2006 and must allocate homes according to this policy. The partner registered social landlords (housing associations) that are members of HomeLink all follow the Nottingham City Council/Nottingham City Homes policy. The policy is designed to make the allocation of council homes as fair as possible. It determines what level of priority you will be given when you apply, or if your circumstances change. A new allocations policy is now being developed, and should be issued towards the end of 2010. Local lettingsNottingham City Homes can only offer housing to people who have a connection with the city of Nottingham. This means that you must have been living or working in the city for at least six out of the last 12 months, or have a close family member (such as child, parent, brother or sister) who has lived or worked in the city for this time. Some of our partners do not apply a local connection criteria when they consider people for housing. This means that they may consider offering housing to people who currently live outside the city of Nottingham. |
